Today is apparently the last day you’ll be able to make the full 2,000m vertical run from the top of Engelberg‘s glacier to the valley, but spring skiing will continue for another five weeks up on the glacier down to Trubsee – ending May 27th.
The snow base there is the second deepest in the world at [present with 7m lying, so it’s pretty snowsure for the coming month.
Conditions – mostly dry, often sunny, generally warm – so best up high with free-thaw conditions – hard packed first thing, best from 10ish until 1ish, then a bit sticky.
