A specialist tour operator has introduced a number of what they’re calling “double domain” ski holidays – whereby you ski two different resorts within one seamless and convenient week-long package.
The options from Ski Weekender include a ‘Cheese Champions’ week promising, ‘the best of Reblochon and Beaufort’ where guests combine skiing with some ‘cheese gastronomy’.
The holiday, running from Monday 22nd to Monday 29th January 2018 starts with a visit to the homeland of the famous AOP Reblochon Fermier (the cheese of Tartiflette fame) followed by a stay in the home town of the magnificent Beaufort cheese. There’s three days staying in Aravis Lodge, home of Reblochon Fermier then four in Arêches-Beaufort, home of the Beaufort Alpage.
“Having been lucky enough to visit and ski multiple resorts during a research trip, it’s a concept we wanted to be able to offer to all of our guests. With the addition of our new resorts this year we now have some superb combinations to offer – and what a treat to be able to explore two regions in a week,” said Paul Turnbull, Managing Director.
The holiday, which includes transfers between resorts and Monday flights for quieter airports, costs £949pp
Other double domain specials include “The Piste Extravaganza” with access to 710km of pistes in the Grand Massif then Evasion Mont Blanc in the week from Monday 8th January 2018 (£849pp) and the “March Double-Whammy” from Monday 19th March 2018 combining the Aravis and Evasion Mont Blanc regions (£949pp). Prices include lift passes, accommodation, chalet board (breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner with good quality wines) and transfers from Geneva and between resorts but do not include flights.
Ski Weekender offer four day weekend breaks, three day midweek breaks and weeklong holidays with lift pass and airport transfer from Geneva included in the price.
Resorts offered are Areches-Beaufort, Les Contamines, St Gervais, Samoens, La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. All resorts are within one hour transfer of Geneva.
