After a peaceful few days there’s a fresh storm blowing in to the Chamonix Valley.

Today has been officially declared a ‘bad weather day’ meaning lift pass holders can upgrade their passes for free or at low cost to ski at some nearby areas.  World Cup races scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday have been cancelled.

Over a metre more snow is expected over the next four days at a rate of 25-30cm a day.  But the snowfall will be driven in on gale force winds.

When things clear conditions should be excellent.
