The incredible snowfall in the French Alps won’t let up and Avoriaz has had yet another 94cm (three feet) of snow in the past 72 hours.
Base depths are spectacular at 2m at resort level up to 325cm on upper slopes – some of the best January stats in years.

All the snowfall has caused some logistical problems and so about a third of the ski area is reported closed at present.
