The Austrian National Tourist Office is running a competition to help Brits add a little ‘Vorfreude’ to their lives.

‘Vorfreude’ means “joyful anticipation” or literally: advance joy.

“There’s no denying that we could all use a sense ‘Vorfreude’ after the trials and tribulations of 2020,” an Austrian National Tourist Office spokesperson said.

UK residents can head to austria.info/vorfreude until 31st January 2021 to nominate a friend or family member who they know really deserves an incredible holiday, and they’ll be in with a chance of winning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Austria, to be taken next year.

The prize includes seven nights plus half-board for two people in the four-star Hotel Hochfilzer in Ellmau, two six-day ski passes for SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, and two flights to Austria.

Full prize details, plus terms and conditions, can be found here.
