Barèges – La Mongie , one of the largest ski areas in the French Pyrenees, will be installing a new quad chairlift this winter.
Work is continuing on the slopes of Grand Tourmalet where old drag lifts in the Coume Lounque sector are being replaced by the fast new quad.
Other improvements at the resort this winter include more snowmaking and conveyor lifts for the nursery slopes.
New towers for the Coume Lounque chairlift have been put in place by a Super Puma helicopter.
