Zermatt Snow Report and Forecast 22 April, 2018

The ski season may be over at 95% of ski areas, and winding down at 4.9% of the rest of them, but at Zermatt it continues year round and conditions are looking rather nice for the end of April.

The sun is shining, there’s 3.5m of snow lying up on the glacier and temperatures up there are hovering just around the freezing mark – so not too hot, not too cold.

The latest reports are that there’s still 230km of the 360km  of runs here open however, so a huge area still to play with and skiing over the border to Cervinia remains open in to May.

No big changes in conditions in the forecast, perhaps a dusting of fresh snow up high early in the week.
