A few places remain on a two week ski adventure trip in South America for experienced skiers that departs in August, according to organisers, the British company Snoworks.
The two week trip that begins on August 9th 2015 promises to be a unique ski holiday spanning southern ski areas of Chile and Argentina and is targeted at experienced skiers with some off piste skills. It will include skiing on five separate volcanoes, with most having ski lifts on lower slopes, but with the option to hike up to the rims of the calderas for the full vertical. Ski areas on the itinerary include Corralco and Pucon in Chile and Caviahue Argentina.
The package, which begins and ends in Chile’s capital Santiago, comes in at £4950 which includes full board and quality lodging throughout, internal flights and private transportation, lift tickets, ski guiding throughout, spa access and some other activities such as horse riding, and rental of avalanche safety equipment. It does not include international flights to/from Chile, insurance or drinks.
Skiers will need to have some off-piste skiing experience and be able to handle slopes of all grades as the trip includes skiing on volcanos (most of the volcanos have ski lifts on the lower sections but there’s options to climb to the top for a full descent).
