WATCH – Skiers Rescue Echidna Trying To Cross The Slopes

We always love to see wildlife in the mountains, however now and then it can be dangerous for animals trying to cross busy pistes. These skiers at Thredbo resort in Australia recently came across an Echidna attempting to get to the opposite side of a ski slope and decided to help him on his way to avoid any harm coming to him.

Sometimes referred to as ‘spicy anteaters’ Echidna live in Australia and New Gineau. They usually do not tolerate extreme temperatures well, using caves and rock crevices as shelter from harsh weather conditions. This makes it even more rare to see them out and about in the snow. They are generally found in forests and woodlands, hiding under vegetation, which explains why this little guy was so keen to get to the treeline!
