Steamboat named Family Resort of the Year in World Snow Awards

Steamboat in Colorado has been named Family Resort of the Year in the World Snow Awards 2017.

“We’re honoured to be recognized as a top family resort in the world,” said Nicole Miller, digital communications manager for Steamboat Ski Resort. “The significant investment Steamboat has made in base area activities and gondola upgrades was done with families in mind.”  Highlights for the coming season include North America’s longest mountain coaster – the Outlaw Mountain Coaster is over 6,000 linear ft long, descends more than 400 vertical ft, rises 40ft above the ground and features dips, waves, turns and 360 degree circles.

The resort’s renowned Kids Vacation Centre offers a wide range of ski and snowboard lessons and camps for all ages while younger children are looked after in the Kiddie Coral Daycare Centre.  Off the slopes family fun includes tubing, horseriding, dog-sledding, snowmobiling and hot springs.
