Solden Snow Report & Forecast March 4 2018

STORY BY Patrick Thorne 4th March 2018

It’s been cold and snowy in Solden over the past week and it’s looking like its’s going to be snowy again , if not quite so cold, over the week ahead.

That said temperatures should remain at double digits below on the glacier – just a little over -10C rather than getting close to -30C as it was a week ago.

The snow that has been falling, and should continue to fall, is not huge in volume, more in the 2-8cm (1-3 inch) bracket but it’s helping to freshen up the deep 30-330cm base.

So Solden looks good for snowsport late in to spring, not forgetting it has just reached six months of operation already for 17-18m, having opened for the season back in early September last year.
