Scottish ski areas are in increasingly good shape thanks to a period of snowy weather that began on Tuesday and is expected to continue to the weekend.
The snow has been particularly welcome as, after three cold weeks, temperatures had started to rise and a bit of a thaw happened on Sunday/Monday.

Now bases are building again. Conditions were too wild for Glencoe to open on Wednesday but it expects to open tomorrow (18th) with great conditions.
Nevis Range also reports a tonne of fresh snow.
