There have been some more perfect blue sky, no wind, all-runs-open days on Scottish ski slopes over the past week. Midweek visitors have had call this largely to themselves – really great conditions.
Almost all runs are open and all lifts operating at all five Highland centres, Glencoe is 100% open, Nevis Range about 50%.
The much over-hyped ‘Beast from The East’ cold weather is due in this week from Russia. This looks like fairly normal winter weather for the Highlands but seems to be getting lots of extra news coverage as kits impact may be felt down to southern England. However it should mean some more snow, particularly in the Eastern Highlands and particularly on Wednesday and Thursday.
