It’s back to the usual highs and lows of the ski nation that is Scotland.
All five of the Highland ski centres plus Lowther Hills in the south were open for snow fun at the weekend. Here’s how Glencoe looked on Saturday (also pictured top)…

But a dramatic rise in temperature since Monday has transformed white slopes to brown and patchy and most areas are closed again until the temperature dips and more snow arrives – hopefully in the next week.

Both The Lecht and Cairngorm now have SnowFactory all weather snowmaking units in place and Cairngorm say the trial is going well, producing snow at +8C today for ski lessons.
