Highland Scottish ski areas have had a remarkably good week or two.
The usual problem with warm fronts coming in from the Atlantic bringing gales and rain and thawing snow cover hasn’t happened since before Christmas and instead there’s been a prolonged period of cold, still weather.

So all five centres have been open over the busy New year holiday period. Snow cover is thin, there’s occasional fog or strong winds still as well as, thankfully, some snow showers, and not every run is open at each centre, but all things considering, overall conditions are excellent.
