There’s been fresh snow on the highest slopes in Scotland over the past few nights, so skiers and boarders have actually been able to ski fresh snow at the two areas still open, Cairngorm and Glencoe.
From tomorrow (Monday 30th) those two will; be one however as Cairngorm (pictured above on Thursday) plans to close today for the season.
“After what has been a fantastic winter season that has seen some excellent conditions on the mountain, we have experienced rapid snow melt from the recent weather during the past week. Forecast for snow showers in the coming days above the Top Station should slow melt rates in the Ptarmigan bowl and hold the snow we currently have. We currently have the Ptarmigan Tow operating, however, we can confirm that Sunday 29th April will definitely be our last ski-day of the season,” a resort spokesperson said.
Glencoe (pictured below on Thursday) plans to keep the lift’s turning for another week through to May 6th and currently reports all runs open with good snow cover.
