A new catered-chalet business, Ski Vertigo, has launched, offering holidays to a choice of 16 chalets in high-altitude resorts including Tignes and Val D’Isère.
The choice of catered chalets available has dropped dramatically in recent years due to a number of factors including Brexit and the pandemic, so a new venture offering fully catered chalets is unusual.
“So many ski operators son cut back on their chalet programmes during Covid and in the run up to Brexit that we decided it was now time to reintroduce a wider choice and give UK skiers more of what they really want,” said Managing Director Ian Hope, who added, “Cosy Alpine chalets are a firm British favourite for groups of skiing friends who want to share the experience of a winter holiday in the mountains and we have introduced Ski Vertigo to answer that demand.”
Ski Vertigo’s 16 catered chalets will each sleeps 6-13 people in Tignes (6 chalets), Val D’Isère (8 chalets) and Reberty 2000 in Les 3 Vallées (2 chalets). Each is fully staffed and catered for six nights with 3-course evening meals, pre-dinner aperitif and canapés, wine and coffee as well as afternoon tea offered to guests on their return from the slopes. Breakfast is also included. Prices start at £699 per person for 7 nights at Chalet La Perle, Tignes on 12th December.
Return flights are with Ski Vertigo’s chartered British Airways aircraft from London Heathrow to Lyon. Guests are then met by Ski Vertigo staff and transferred to the resort using our own exclusive transfer coaches. The packages are fully bonded with ATOL and ABTOT.
Ski Vertigo is a sister brand of Ski Famille, which has over 30 years’ experience of organising chalet holidays in the Alps, with the two now being able to fulfil the needs of both adult groups as well as families needing childcare.
