Easy to reach, you can fly into Geneva, Zurich or Milan (Or even the smaller airports at Basle and Bern) and from there head to Sion (which also has a small airport itself) by rail, then that the bus up to Nendaz.
If you travel by car from home or rent a car from one of the airports, Nendaz is only 15 km (nine miles) away from the motorway and the main railway station. Take the A9 exit “Sion Ouest” then follow the sign to Nendaz.
