Our Morzine Snow Report and Forecast 10 January 2018 comes from Rob Stewart at Ski Press, who has been out and about on the slopes in Les Portes du Soleil this week staying with the fantastic Elevation Alps.
Piste conditions in Morzine and Avoriaz at the moment are fantastic, with some incredible skiing on offer. While Les Portes du Soleil region is mostly missing out on the huge dumps that are affecting some of the other resorts in the Alps, this is not necessarily a bad thing, as the slopes here still have their fair share of lovely fresh powder.
The forecast for the coming week is also very encouraging, with sunny days ahead! The sun looks set to appear every day until Sunday, when clouds will descend and a light snowfall (around 5cm) will rejuvinate the slopes. With the sun forecast to return on Monday, this forecast is absolutely ideal for anyone headed to Les Portes du Soleil. Temperatures will remain just below freezing.
