Mammoth had an almost completely dry December with just 7cm of snowfall on December 20th – very different to the nearly 2 metres that fell last December 2016.

But despite this the resort has about the most terrain open in the US still and has maintained the base it built in snowier November of 50-150cm.
Along with the cruisers there’s plenty of freestyle fun to be had too as Mammoth Unbound has five open parks with a ton of jibs, jumps, and features for all ability levels.
Forecasters are predicting a change in the weather from the weekend with 20-40cm forecast by this time next week, which would be the most fresh snow since November.
