It’s Snowing in Scotland

Scottish ski centres have reported snowfall overnight, with more snow continuing to fall at some areas, including Nevis Range.

It’s way too early to predict opening dates for the ski season, but the snow has raised the spirits of Scottish skiers ahead of winter 17-18.

Some of the country’s five Highland ski centres do open as soon as they have enough snow to safely do so. The Lecht has opened in late October in the past.

Three of the five centres also have short all-weather artificial surface ski slopes which are more fun to ski even with a light snow covering.

And as we reported previously two centres expect to have all-weather snow making machines in place within the next month – which means the season should definitely start in December, whatever the weather.
