Italy Snow Report and Forecast to December 8th, 2017

Conditions for the first week of December in Italy are looking good.

Most of the country’s top resorts are now open, along with many of the smaller ones.  Bormio is one of the latest batch to open this weekend.

New areas opening in Dolomiti Superski include Obereggen as well as Alta Badia (pictured top), Carezza, Marmolada and Alpe Lusia/San Pellegrino.

Next to the lifts and slopes which already work since November 11th and 25th, there will be in total 490 km of slopes and 194 lifts available from 2nd December 2017 in the Dolomites.

The biggest snowfalls of the past 24 hours have been on the southern side of the country’s northwest corner however, with Limone, one of the closest centres to the Med, posting 50cm of fresh snow in 24 hours to Dec 2nd.

This followed after 20-30cm 24 hour snowfalls in parts of the Dolomites on Wednesday/Thursday.

Livigno is also looking good and has opened more terrain:
