H2O Audio’s proprietary bone conduction acoustics shine in the cold, transmitting clear, balanced sound while leaving ears open to the environment, a vital safety feature when skiing or running in snowy terrain. Even with gloves on, the improved button placement made operation intuitive, and the soft silicone finish sat comfortably against the skin, never stiffening in the chill.

Despite being submerged in wet snow (for purely test purposes!), the TRI 2 PRO remained unaffected, living up to its promise of submersion beyond the official IPX8 standards. Battery life stretched impressively close to nine hours, easily covering a full day outdoors. With 8GB of memory, I carried thousands of tracks into the backcountry, switching seamlessly between offline playback and Bluetooth streaming when conditions allowed.
