Lech Zürs am Arlberg in Austria’s Vorarlberg region is not a resort known to do things by halves, and as the 2015-16 season gets underway there in a few weeks’ time, it underlines its special status with the return of the amazing ‘Fantastic Gondolas’ show.

Staged on the evening of Saturday, 12 December, the amazing event takes place at the Rüfikopf where the snowy-white mountain scenery and the gondolas hanging within it are the backdrop for a remarkable medley of visual art and spatial and sound installations.

Patrick Pulsinger will be among the DJs playing at this the fifth edition of the Fantastic Gondolas event – which has been given the special name the ‘Love Edition’ (after last winter’s focus ‘Cineastic Gondolas’ on cinema) and kicks off at 8.30pm. Tickets cost from EUR 28. www.lech-zuers.at
