SkiWeekends has announced extra dates for the chance to ski with Eddie the Eagle Edwards – the British Olympic ski jumper who was portrayed in the 2016 Hollywood movie about his life by Golden Globe Award winner Taron Egerton.
During January 2020, Eddie stayed with SkiWeekends in Courchevel and Avoriaz, but due to popular demand, he’s back for another stay, this time in the resort of Morzine.
There’s two departure dates available including March 30 (up to 3.5 days skiing) and April 2, 2020 (up to 4.5 days skiing) which include a minimum of half a day on the slopes with Eddie. Guests will also dine in the chalet with Eddie as well as having the chance to watch the movie, Eddie the Eagle, alongside him with a Q&A session after the film.
“This is a proper ski holiday for me, the first one in about 30 years that I have spent some quality time skiing. It was great to get ski fit again too – and a gorgeous chalet with lovely staff and great food. I never got that level of comfort when I was jumping!” said Eddie.
Eddie is there as a guest of SkiWeekends and he is not employed as a ski guide or instructor. He will ski with the guests on a social basis only.
SkiWeekends operated Chalet Chappelle, Morzine – sleeps up to 26 people, hot tub, sauna, 5 minutes from the centre of Morzine.
