Crans-Montana Tourism Authority announces the appointment of INSIGHTS marketing and PR agency to be the face of Crans-Montana destination in the UK market. Effective July 2011, the contract empowers INSIGHTS to represent Crans-Montana – the legendary Swiss alpine destination – in one of its key markets and to boost visibility and traffic all year round.

Founded in 1893, Crans-Montana is known as the sunniest destination of the Swiss Alps and the one with the purest air to breathe.

A paradise for skiers (home of the 2012 downhill ski men’s world cup) and for golfers (home of the Omega European Master every year since 1948) Crans-Montana is ideally sitting on a plateau, perched 1500 m. altitude, facing the widest mountain panorama of Switzerland.

A family friendly destination, a very safe place to stay, to unwind and have fun, Crans-Montana is famous for it’s hospitality sector (32 hotels, of which 65% are rated 4 and 5 star luxury, 1’900 apartments and chalets available for rent), and offers the most comprehensive range of sport, cultural, shopping and business infrastructures in the French speaking Swiss Alps, including more than 270 shops, restaurants and cafés, a conference centre, a Casino, Switzerland’s most famous Summer Camp, an International Hotel School rated amongst top 3 in the world and a host of facilities and services available 365 days/year for tourists and residents alike.

Sion International airport (35mn drive) and Geneva Intl Airport (120mn drive) make Crans-Montana an easy-to-reach destination for international travellers, while Swiss railways and highways networks offer the most convenient connections from and to the very footsteps of the destination.

“We are delighted with our new partnership with INSIGHTS agency, a marketing and PR specialist that has been carefully selected for their in-depth knowledge of two key markets for Crans-Montana, and for their proven expertise in effectively representing high end hotels, resorts and top destinations worldwide. Working closely with our Marketing and Communications department as well as with Swiss Tourism offices and representatives, INSIGHTS will be instrumental in creating more visibility and business opportunities for our destination” says Philippe Rubod, CEO of Crans-Montana Tourism Authority.
