A snowboarder who chased a moose down a ski run in Quebec may be fined.

The boarder, who initially posted the video on social media, but later removed the post, is heard screaming at the moose as he chases it down the slope. At one point the animal falls as it tries to escape.

The ski centre here the incident took place has been identified as Le Massif, which is located northeast of Quebec City. The centre has since posted a warning on social media advising people to stay away from any moose they encounter on the slopes, describing the animals as, “vulnerable at this time of year,” as they are hungry and tired.

Quebec’s Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks is now investigating the incident, saying the snowboarder may be fined.
