It has been a dramatic week in the Portes du Soleil area – as with much of the Alps.
Storm Eleanor brought heavy snow and gales which closed most of the area on Wednesday and all of it on Thursday last week.
But since she departed things have stabilised and conditions are great.

Albeit with an exceptionally high avalanche danger off piste.
There was another 15cm of snow on Sunday but currently skies are clearing.
Base depths of 155-235cm look good for the rest of the season now, nearly all runs are open and almost all lifts operating.
