11 Days on the Slopes for 4 Days off Work this Xmas/New Year

Savvy skiers have been spotting that the fall of Christmas and New Year public holidays means it is possible to get up to 11 days on the slopes whilst taking just 4 days of leave from work over the latter half of December.

Fly out on Saturday December 22nd and return on New Years Day and you will only need to take off Mon 24th, Thurs-Fri Dec 27-28 and Monday 31st before returning on New Year’s day Tuesday 1st January for the 10 night, 11 day holiday.

The difficulty can be finding reasonable flight and accommodation costs at that time of year and not many tour operators can help with such a time period.

Ski Weekends however can offer the 11 day, 10 night package staying half board at the three star GHM Hotel Monachil in Sierra Nevada, Spain, a traditional and spacious ski in/out hotel just 50m from the nearest chairlift for £1745pp using flights from Gatwick – Granada with transfers, based on two people sharing.

“The flight arrives in Granada at 11.45am and transfer is just under an hour, so it’s very likely you can ski on your afternoon of arrival. Departure flight is 17.05 on Jan 1st, so plenty of time to recover from New Year’s Eve festivities and ski in to 2019 on your final morning,” says Marianne Wanstall, Director of Operations at SkiWeekends.
