Katie Ormerod taking second in Pleasure Jam

GB Park and Pipe snowboarder Katie Ormerod claimed second place in this weekend’s Pleasure Jam, after the contest was changed from a slopestyle event to a rail-jam due to high winds in the Superpark Dachstein.

The Slopestyle World Snowboard Tour season opener saw Katie Ormerod show her prowess on the rails and beat off competition from the world-class field to secure a podium finish.

British Nordic Team skiers Andrew Musgrave, Andrew Young and Annika Taylor were all in action this weekend in Beitostolen, Norway for the FIS races. Musgrave took the best results of the weekend, finishing 5th in the 15km Classic, 6th in the 15km Freestyle and 19th in the 1.5km Sprint. In the same race, Andrew Young came 27th. Annika Taylor had a best result of 20th in the 10km Freestyle. She also claimed 25th in the 1.3km Sprint and 34th in the 10km Classic. In the Bruksvallarna FIS Races in Sweden, Callum Smith finished with a top 40 in the 10km Freestyle.

It was a busy weekend for members of the Delancey British Alpine Team who were in action in FIS races this weekend. In Levi, Finland, Nick Moynihan finished 20th in the Slalom on Friday with Charlie Raposo finishing 34th in the Slalom yesterday. The FIS GS races took place today, with Raposo finishing 6th in the first event and Moynihan coming in 34th.

In Pfelders, Zak Vinter secured an impressive 7th in one of the NJR Slalom races. Alicja Krahelski claimed two good results in NJR races, with a 13th and 26th in the two Slaloms. Megan Riley claimed 26th and 35th. Pfelders held FIS Slalom races today with British athletes Alicja Krahelski and Robert Poth both finishing 17th in their respective races.

Nicole Ritchie claimed a 21st and 22nd in two FIS Slalom races in Kaabdalis.Laurie Taylor, Billy Major, Fraser Middleton and Kieran Troup were in action in the PassThurn FIS Slalom. Middleton claimed the best British results with a 32nd & 36th.
