Where to Eat on the Slopes

Back to Crans-Montana

There’s no better way to round off a morning’s skiing on perfect slopes than with a good mountain lunch, with incredible views and delicious food. In Crans-Montana, you will certainly not be disappointed. We’re not talking just easy buffet menus and sunny terraces, Crans-Montana also offers mountain-side spots for seriously good food, wine and Alpine atmosphere.

Zero dix  $$
A trendy restaurant at lunch time serving up some exceptional dishes, Zero dix becomes the best après ski spot in Crans-Montana after 3pm!

Cabane des Violettes $$
This is an authentic Swiss mountain hut, run by the Michelen starred Chef Frank Reynaud of Pas de l’Ours and Pierrot Bagnoud, a well know mountain guide. The chef uses selected local products and his impressive knowledge to prepare and perfect his recipes, which are deliciously simple yet never common.

Cabane des Taules $
Only raclette and soup and only when it is sunny! That’s the philosophy of this charming tiny hut in the middle of the slopes here in Crans-Montana!

Where to Eat on the Slopes

Cry D’er $$ – $$$
Located at the top of the Blue gondola, the Cry D’er has a huge terrace and two types of restaurant. There’s a free flow self-service restaurant ($$) where you can see the chefs preparing woks, pasta, burgers, or a daily special, perfect for those on more of a budget.

Mayen de Colombire
This quaint, remote hut sits on Aminona side of the ski area and serves typical old style local dishes as well as fabulous traditional cheesy cuisine. If you’re not a food fanatic, this is still a spot you should visit – even if just for the spectacular view! Once you’ve had your fill, simply ski down to Violettes to connect with the ski lifts.

Chez Erwin $
This is a small chalet lying on the Chetseron slope, which boasts a stunning south-facing wooden terrace, where you can sit in the sun overlooking the peaks the Valais Alps. You are able to access this restaurant by foot from top of the Plan Mayen area, at the level of Le Crans Hotel. The cuisine mainly focuses on raclette, traditional cold cut plates, a daily special and home made pastries – simple but charming. There are 35 seats available inside and 100 outside.

Chetzeron $$$
The amazing hotel Chetzeron also offers a restaurant on the slopes. Featuring creative cuisine with local products, this is, in our opinion, the most upscale restaurant on the slopes.
