A Freestyle Paradise

Back to Crans-Montana

In just a few years, Crans-Montana has become the new freestyle capital of Switzerland, a destination respected and recommended by freestyle professionals from across the globe.

Here, not only are freestyle fans able to enjoy all the attractions of an exceptional mountain snow park, but they can also explore the brand new ALAÏA action sports centre. An indoor action sport centre like no other, Alaïa Chalet provides the best indoor training conditions to help you to perfect your tricks before trying them out on snow. You can spend hours here having fun with friends, or put in some more serious work on your technique, with highly experienced coaches on hand to improve your skills in the pipe or on the jumps.

Snow Park

For freestyle enthusiasts, Crans-Montana offers you a vast 100,000m2 snowpark one of the ten permanent superpipes in the world!.. Beginners find their marks in the discovery park which includes a boardercross, jumps and boxes, while the more seasoned have fun in the big airs, jibs and the famous Olympic-sized halfpipe in the main park, which is served by its own ski lift.

The Cry d’Er area thus offers an absolutely unique density of facilities dedicated to action sports! Park, pipe and cross-country, everything is brought together in the same area to delight thrill-seekers. Moreover, thanks to its modules and quality facilities, the Crans-Montana snowpark welcomes every year national freestyle and ski or snowboard cross teams preparing for the most important international competitions.

Alaïa Chalet

Crans-Montana is already well-known for its parks (snowpark, bikepark and wakepark), but it is continually developing the choice for action sport fans. The latest development is Chalet Alaïa, a veritable shrine to action sports, which opened its doors at the beginning of 2019.

High quality infrastructure such as trampolines, indoor ramps, foam pits and bowls mean different sports can be practised year round. Outside, there is a gigantic skatepark which measures around 2,400m2, consisting of a snakerun, and pumptrack, as well as a skate plaza and bowl. Keen children and young people can take part in winter and summer camps, and put into practice the tricks they learn at the Chalet in the different parks in Crans-Montana.

Upstairs, there’s a bar which looks out over the activity halls so that family and friends can watch on. In warmer weather, a food truck is installed outside the building.
