A first-time father-to-be has skied down a slope letting off clouds of pink smoke from canisters attached to his ski poles to reveal to his pregnant wife, and himself, that they are expecting a girl.
Amanda and Greg Day are expecting their first child in July, but when the doctors knew what gender the child was going to be they asked him not to tell them, instead the information was provided in a sealed envelope.
The envelope was passed to film-maker Dustin Farrenkopf who organised the special ski day, and provided the canisters that let off the pink smoke across the snow. Greg realised he was going to be the father of a baby girl when he set off the canister at the top of the slope, his wife Amanda stood at the bottom saw it too.
“It’s a girl!” everyone cheered, raising their poles in the air.
Greg then skied down the mountain with friends through the clouds of pink smoke to Amanda who was waiting with more friends.
