Snowsports England’s THIS GIRL CAN campaign is inspiring women to wiggle, jiggle, move and prove that judgement is a barrier that can be overcome. Leading the way for female snowboarders, on Saturday 2nd May Team GB’s Professional Slopestyle Snowboarder, Aimee Fuller joined The Snow Centre’s Ignite Junior Snowboard Academy and later skiers and snowboarders of all ages on The Snow Centre’s 160m main slope.
Letting nothing (not even sweat) stand in her way, Aimee worked with the young snowboarders on The Snow Centre’s Ignite Snowboard Session for juniors aged 7-16, inspiring them to move forward with their talents and try new moves on their snowboards!
Then, Fuller took to the Main Slope at the indoor real snow centre; and offered hints and tips to snowboarders of all ages. Adults and juniors practiced their snowboard skills on a jump and box, landing some pretty stylish tricks and really proving that #ThisGirlCan at The Snow Centre.
“We had a great session with all the ladies! With some girls who had never tried freestyle tricks and then some others who were well up for challenging themselves on both the jumps and the rails. Great comradery amongst the group and a great turn,” said Aimee.
