Skiplex, the only company in the UK with continuous indoor revolving slopes to make learning comfortable and easy, have three venues – Chiswick, Reading and Basingstoke – which are ideally suited to help children and families get more out of their skiing or boarding.
Each slope at Skiplex can rotate at varying speeds and gradients, adjusted to suit the ability of the skier or snowboarder. Sessions are led by a qualified instructor offering real-time feedback and with a giant mirror at the base of the slope, the user can see their progress immediately … and they normally progress quickly.
Families and children of all ability levels are welcome, including complete beginners, and from 1–24 December the Reading and Basingstoke centres are offering a special Family Festive deal for up to 10 family members, from toddlers to grandpas, with exclusive hire of the Skiplex slope and instructor for an hour between 9am–4pm, 7 days a week at a £30 discount.
All centres are also offering local schools significant discounts for their school ski trip preparation lessons.
For children that are already good skiers or boarders, Skiplex have set up a new ski race academy offering “Introduction to ski racing” sessions for children between 6 and 10 years old in association with the British Alpine Racing Ski Clubs (BARSC).
The academy gives young skiers a fantastic opportunity to fast track into ski racing and the chance to train with top British race coaches. Sessions tie in to the school week and term times with trips and include the chance to ski at large indoor snow centres in Europe and in the Alps.
