Conditions are starting to pick up at Mammoth Mountain in California a week or so after opening for the season.
The past 24 hours have seen a foot (30cm) of fresh snowfall at the base and closer to 60cm (2 feet) at the top.
Snow days are the best days. Snow is expected to continue overnight…stay tuned for new storm totals in the morning. #MammothStories

It has also been windy though with gusts of up to 70 mph reported.
It’s looking like a powder day when California wakes up later today and a good weekend ahead.
