The most southerly ski area in the Hakuba Valley is also one of the smallest and quietest, so well worth going on to the end of the shuttle bus line if you’re looking for peaceful slopes.
There are just seven slopes here, served by four lifts, with 70% of the terrain rated easy, the remainder intermediate and zero per cent expert! That said there I some tree skiing to enjoy. The skiable vertical is 240 metres and the longest run is just under a mile (1.5km).
A great choice for families looking for quality time having fun in the snow together away from the crowds, there’s also a kids’ sledding area to play in.
There are also snowmobile and snowshoe tours, making it a ski resort that can be enjoyed even by those who don’t ski.
