Our Kneissl Skis Review comes from ISPO 2018, where we were very excited to get a look at their new range for 2018/19 winter season.

Founded in 1862, Kneissl have been hand making skis for longer than anyone else in the world. Based in Austria, all of their skis are designed using the most advanced techniques and latest technologies. We took a look at their most popular skis.

The Black Star XC is a fine-tuned cross carver, expertly designed for assertive handling. Its perfectly developed waist allows it to perform convincingly on groomed slopes as well as on spring snow or open terrain. It is forgiving and easy to control, yet when used with the proper technique, its race carver genes shine through. It’s a piste / all mountain ski that is nice and versatile in all conditions.

The Red Star RC is a powerful race carving ski fine-tuned for speed and for medium to long radius turns. A smooth and dynamic ski that really displays its strengths on the piste.

The White Star SL is a slalom race ski that meets all FIS criteria. Powerful, explosive and agile, this slalom race ski is for all physically well-trained enthusiasts of short radii turns, and is also great for general use and slope conditions.  Provides direct transmission of power and a perfect-edge grip for short turns and playful, active skiing.

The My Star MC is a more recreational ski, that provides excellent edge grip on the piste, along with a supreme ease of turn and optimal floatation thanks to its wider waist. The ski’s outstanding comfort make it the perfect companion for both on and off piste, especially in deep powder snow. The My Star MC also boasts a great design by utilising die-cut inserts in the shovel and a new three-dimensional surface, making it appear distinctive and bold, yet refined.
