One of the most snow-sure resorts in the Haute-Savoie region, with a top skiing height just shy of 2,500 metres, Flaine is an ideal place to ski or snowboard this Christmas.
Flaine puts on quite a show from 22 December 2019, including choirs, torch-lit descents, visits from Father Christmas, fireworks and a wide range of entertainment, plus the whole village is draped in twinkling lights.
Make the most of the festive celebrations and stay at Résidence Les Terrasses de Veret, located in the centre of the town, next to the Grands Vans chairlift and the ESF ski school.
Each self-catered apartment offers a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, living room and a balcony, or terrace, with magnificent outlooks over the resort.
After a day on the slopes, relax in the indoor heated swimming pool, unwind in the outdoor Jacuzzi or cosy up next to the crackling fire in the communal living room.
Alternatively, make the most of the many bars and restaurants within easy reach, such as the friendly Pente à Julesor and the suave Brasserie les Cîmes.
A week’s stay, from 21 December 2019, costs from £1,145 total (was £1,637 total – saving 30%) for four people sharing a one-bedroom apartment. Flights, return transfers, lift passes and food extra.
