This season in Verbier, try something new and ski tour under moonlit sky. Verbier is well known for its ski touring with seven marked ski touring routes departing from either La Tzoumaz, Le Châble, Bruson or Verbier.
For the real enthusiasts, ski touring under the stars is on offer every Wednesday from January to March 2023. There are two possible itineraries, starting from Verbier at 650 m or 590 m altitude, or from La Tzoumaz at 710 m altitude, with a combined finish at Savoleyres at 2,340 m.
After a long ski, visit the Savoleyres restaurant and enjoy a delicious pasta dish before returning to the village.

Stay at new Chalet Hotel Turquoise to make the most of the many other activities in La Plagne, including 425 km of skiing, UNION restaurant, the Olympic bobsleigh, Moonbiking, and winter walking. Chalet Hotel Turquoise, on the Belle Plagne slopes, has been fully renovated and now offers nine bespoke apartment suites each sleeping between two and 10 people. Grand Hotel Sestriere has great facilities and an even better location. The lifts are only a few minutes away and you can get to them easily with the free shuttle. The centre of town is a short walk away and you can look forward to some great mountain views when you get back to the hotel – we recommend enjoying them from the bar. You can pick from over 1,500 wine labels and sit next to the open fire.
There’s three restaurants here so you can change things up and upgrade to à la carte for a couple of nights. Make sure you try the pizza place – they’re all homemade and cooked in a traditional oven. If you’ve got some spare time, head for the spa and check out the sauna, steam room and whirlpool (payable locally).

Standard Rooms with Mountain View are around 18m² and sleep two people with a double or twin beds, balcony, minibar, safe, hairdryer and bathrobes. Rooms for sole occupancy are available for a supplement.
Superior Rooms with Mountain View are around 20m², sleep up to three people (extra bed is a sofa bed) and have a lounge area.
Location is key when you’re planning a ski holiday and that’s exactly where the Edelweiss stands out. It’s on a quiet edge of the town centre close to everything you’d need, and only 300 metres to the Hahnenkamm Gondola and the slopes. In fact, when the weathers on your side you’ll be able to ski the Asten run from the Hanhenkamm right back to the door.

The hotel has that well-loved, warm and traditional atmosphere that Austrian hotels are renowned for. There’s a lovely bar and restaurant where you’ll enjoy your evening meals six nights a week with great service. On Thursdays the restaurant and bar is closed, giving you a great opportunity to check out the local cuisine and grab a meal in town. In the mornings you’ll find a nice breakfast buffet spread where its encouraged to help yourself to a little extra to pack away for lunchtime.
