It’s Big
One of the world’s largest ski areas with over 489km of piste, accessed by 177 lifts and cable cars, the Zillertal Super Ski Pass covers the four skiing areas, namely the First Zillertal skiing area with Hochzillertal, Hochfügen and Spieljoch; the Zillertal Arena; the Glacier World Zillertal with Hintertux (one of only two resorts worldwide to open for snow sports 365 days a year); and, of course, Mayrhofen.
It’s Tasty
With over 150 mountain huts in the Zillertal region, skiers and snowboarders can not only expect breathtaking views of numerous 3000m peaks but culinary highs to match. Whether the focus is fine dining or traditional Tirolean cuisine, there’s always a great emphasis on seasonal and natural products.
It’s Fun
Those looking for freestyle action will find five terrain parks in the Zillertal, suitable for everyone from beginners to pros. Take time to practise and perfect on the kickers, rails and corners and the superbly prepared half pipes and super pipes.
It’s Snowy
Zillertal’s slopes begin from 630m in altitude and go right up to 3250m, providing great snow conditions which are enhanced by environmentally friendly snowmaking equipment, fed with crystal clear mountain water and can cover 75% of the slopes, if needed. And, of course, the Hintertux Glacier, the only year-round ski area in Austria, is located in the Zillertal.
It Sounds Good
There is no festival that can match Snowbombing, and for one week in April, Mayrhofen turns into the stage, hosting the ultimate show on snow. Leading DJs, club nights, live acts and snowboarders come together for this ultimate event, with amazing line-ups.
