A giant 17 foot high sculpture of X Factor judge Simon Cowell’s head has appeared on the slopes of Ischgl in Austria’s Tirol.
The 4m snow sculpture on the piste is the work of English brothers Justin and Simon Scott, who have taken part in the resort’s Shapes In White snow sculpture exhibition – this year themed on ‘Casting Shows’ – 11 times in the 22 years it has been held.
Ischgl is quite a change of scene for gardener and tree surgeon Justin, from Driffield in Yorkshire, and Simon, a sales director from Acle in Norfolk. “We enjoy taking part,” said Justin. “The hospitality in Ischgl is fantastic.”
Ten two-man teams took part in the exhibition, and the giant snow sculptures will remain in place until the snow melts.
