Although much publicity has been given to a new gondola linking Verbier’s ski area to the Bruson sector much more efficiently , a second new gondola is under construction in the 4 Valleys which will also greatly enhance the inter-connectivity of Switzerland’s largest lift-linked ski region.
The second new eight seater gondola, with a price tag of 12 million Francs, links Siviez (1730 m) to Plan du Fou (2430 m), with the opening planned in the next 10 days in time for Christmas 2013.
Ascending 700 vertical metres the trip will take 6.5 minutes and will greatly improve the link between the regions of Siviez and Tracouet.
“With this facility, Siviez becomes more than ever, a major crossroads of the 4 Vallées, forming the ideal launching pad for a long awaited tourist complex,” said a statement from Télénendaz.
