Saas-Fee in Switzerland has announced they’ll be throwing a party to celebrate the start of summer skiing, and in fact the start of their 10 month long 2014-15 ski season, on the weekend of 19th and 20th July 2014.
There’ll be 20km of groomed slopes to enjoy along with a full feature terrain park incorporating big air bag and chill-out lounge bar. Saas Fee and its neighbour Zermatt, which offers year-round snow sports, will be the only Swiss ski areas open until October.
The opening party, now something of an annual institution, will take place in the Popcorn bar. There will also be a pro-photography competition where the shot with the most “likes” wins a prize.
Packages including accommodation, two day lift pass and admission with drinks coupon to the party in Popcorn are being offered by the resort.
