The Anglo-Swiss Parliamentary Ski Week will be staged for the 54th season in a row in Davos, Switzerland. Members of parliament and government officials from both Great Britain and Switzerland get together each year to spend a winter week, this year from January 3rd to 10th, in the ski regions around the Landwasser Valley and under the guidance of local ski instructors prepare for the ultimate highlight: the Parliamentary Ski Races. Now a long standing tradition, the start to the event is Friday’s parallel slalom, with the giant slalom on Saturday providing the finale and climax of the week. “Even when the focus is on personal encounters and fun, it’s still a matter of honour to put every effort into the battle for victory” said a race organiser.
