San Martino di Castrozza in Trentino will unveil a new gondola lift when it opens for the season next month.
The Italian resort, one of the world’s most eco-friendly, generating more than 10 times as much green electricity as it consumes, will open a new 10-seater gondola, the Colbricon Express.
The new lift will serve its Ces area, which is linked to the Tognola sector and known for its wide variety of ski slopes ranging from blue slopes for beginners to steeper red runs.
The new lift has a capacity of 2,000 passengers per hour and makes the trip in less than six minutes – a great improvement on the previous lift. With the excuse of the new gondola lift, some sections of the surrounding slopes have also been extended.
