The MS Trust’s Everest-a-day Monster Ski challenge is back for 2016 and will be taking place in Chamonix and Courmayeur to raise funds to help people with multiple sclerosis.

The charity is looking for around 20 skiers and snowboarders to take part in this 90,000ft ski challenge from 14 to 18 March 2016.

This season for the first time Monster Ski will take place across two countries with two days skiing in Chamonix, France and one day in Courmayeur on the Italian side of Mont Blanc.

This unique event will be raising funds to help the MS Trust train specialist nurses and provide information for people living with multiple sclerosis. For each of the three days of the challenge, participants will attempt to ski 30,000 vertical feet – that’s the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest every day!

This will be the MS Trust’s eighth Monster Ski challenge and previous events have raised over £426,000. If you would like to get involved, you can register now for just £150, plus a pledge to raise £1,420 in sponsorship.

Included in the cost are flights and transfers, accommodation (bed and breakfast), a three day lift pass and ski guides who will lead small groups during the challenge. The MS Trust will provide lots of support and advice to help you raise your sponsorship, as well as putting you in touch with other Monster Skiers so you can share fundraising ideas.

Ben Rogers who took part in the last Monster Ski said, “For me the whole experience of fundraising and learning about MS has been a truly humbling experience and will stay with me for the rest of my life. To those of you who are thinking of taking on the Monster Ski challenge in the future, DO IT!”
