With snowsports catching the imagination of the public after last year’s Winter Olympics, Skiplex Basingstoke is opening its doors to the public this Wednesday 15th October with an evening of free skiing, part of a national initiative run by Snowsport England called ’30 Days of Snowsport’.
For those people inspired by Sochi 2014, there will be free GO SKI GO BOARD TRY taster sessions of 20 mins for people wanting to give skiing a go for the first time, or if they have not been on skis or a board for a while. The taster sessions will be with fully qualified instructors and will be running throughout the evening from 4pm-8.30pm.
The night is also a fundraiser for snowsports charity Snow-Camp . For those taking a free TRY taster session a donation can be made on the night.
‘30 Days of Snowsport’ is an initiative which runs at both slopes nationwide as well as online to celebrate the start of the winter season and get people excited about snowsports. All 30 Days of Snowsport online activities will run online and via Snowsport England’s Twitter @Snowsport_Eng
