Ski chalet holiday operator Powder White has produced a rather different list of end-of-season stats to the norm.

Looking back on winter 2013-14 the company reports that, between them, their guests drank 19,860 bottles of wine (the equivalent of 117 baths); ate 2,680 kilos of cheese ( the average weight  of a fully-grown African elephant) and 2,305 baguettes.

The Powder White team drove 43,700km to pick up and drop off guests at airports and baked 4,602 cakes for afternoon tea.

The company’s  guests came from 29 countries, including Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Canada and 17 European countries, the oldest skier was 82 years and two months, the youngest  two years 10 months.

Figures are based on Powder White’s 58 chalets across the five ski resorts of Courchevel, Val d’lsere, Verbier, Meribel and St Anton.

“Experienced skiers and first timers keen to get in on the wine and cheese action for 2014/15 can save 10% by booking early,” said a statement on behalf of the company.
