The luxurious Chalet Les Brames in Meribel has announced a new focus on mental well‐being for its  guests with a uniquely designed ‘snowga’ programme – described as a combination of skiing and yoga, alongside its more tradition ski offerings.

Designed and created by Elite Ski Team, Co-Director Aurélia Chrétien Pomès says that Snowga offers an holistic approach to skiing designed particularly for women (but also available to men) and is based on the fundamental principles of yoga: breathing, stretching, mindfulness and adapting to the surroundings.

The chalet is set to re-open in December following a full refurbishment which includes a fitness area, two massage rooms, a hammam, ice cold plunge pool and yoga / pilates area.

The Chalet’s Snowga package includes five days of private ski lessons and yoga with three of the sessions including an osteopathy consultation and the other two a sport massage.

The Snowga package is elivered by a trained osteopath, a yoga and pilates therapist and a professional ski instructor.,

“I have long been a professional skier and, naturally, as a sportswoman, I have always been fascinated with how the body moves, responds and recovers,” said Aurele, adding, “As soon as I discovered yoga, especially the benefits of meditation and developing one’s mental wellbeing, I saw that there was an irresistible link I could make between the two sports.”

Snowga is a completely holistic experience which ensures you begin the day with yoga and so prepare the body and mind for exercise on the mountain.

To compliment Aurelia’s Program guests can request a health and wellness menu, designed by the chalet’s in-house chef.

Rental of Chalet Brames, which has six double en-suite bedrooms, cost from £17,000 per week. The Snowga package costs €2750 for one person , €1650 each for two people or €1065 each for four people all of the same ski level.
